Manage prices and tariffs

With a tariff, you set the energy price that fleets pay at your sites. We show you how to create a tariff in a few minutes and edit it later.

1.Prerequisites

You have the Admin role and have selected the Depot operator area at the top left; you need nothing more for a tariff.

2.Step by step

Create a tariff

  1. 1.
First, open Tariffs in the sidebar, where Tariff management shows all your tariffs and you can find an existing tariff via Search tariff.
  2. 2.
Click Add tariff at the top right to open the form of the same name, Add tariff, on the right.
  3. 3.
Under Name, enter a tariff name by which you can recognise the tariff later.

If you plan your own price for the ASTAG charge community, it is best to choose a name by which you can easily recognise this community tariff later.

  4. 4.
Under Country, select the country where your site is located, because the currency and VAT rate depend on it.
  5. 5.
Under Net energy price per kWh, enter your price per kilowatt hour, without VAT and without the service fee.
  6. 6.
The VAT rate is selected automatically according to the country you choose.
  7. 7.
    Finally, click Save.

Edit a tariff

  1. 1.
In Tariff management, click the tariff's pencil icon in the Actions column to open the Edit tariff form on the right.

For tariffs with the status Active, the pencil is greyed out because these tariffs cannot be edited.

  2. 2.
Change Name, Country or Net energy price per kWh.
  3. 3.
    Then click Save.

For tariffs with the status Draft or Inactive, you can also remove the tariff here via Delete.

3.Result

The tariff appears in Tariff management with creation date, currency, energy price, VAT rate, status and the number of agreements that use it. From now on, it is also available for selection in the agreement offers.

4.Community tariffs

You create a tariff that only the fleets of the ASTAG charge community should receive like any other tariff. It becomes a community tariff when you use it in an agreement offer with the fleet partners option Community fleets.

This is how you offer the community a special price, while your regular tariff applies to all other fleets. The tariff you have set for the respective agreement always applies, so you can distinguish between members of the ASTAG charge community and regular Depotcharge users.

It is best to name the community in the name of the agreement offer, because community offers are not marked separately for fleets. To find out how, read Add an agreement.

5.Note

All prices are exclusive of VAT, and the ASTAG charge service fee is added to your price, which is CHF 0.025 per kWh for ASTAG members and CHF 0.04 per kWh for non-members who charge at Swiss sites. You receive your full price, because only the fleets pay the service fee.

In the Status column, you see how a tariff is used. As long as no agreement uses it, a tariff remains a Draft, and as soon as an agreement uses it, it becomes Active.

You can edit or delete tariffs with the status Draft or Inactive at any time.

Because the price of an active tariff cannot be changed, create a new tariff and a new agreement for a new price. Existing agreements keep their price, because each charging session is subject to the tariff that applied at the time of charging.
