Registration

In this article, we guide you step by step through registering your company with ASTAG Charge, which takes only a few minutes. As a member of the Swiss commercial vehicle association ASTAG, you gain access to the ASTAG Charge community and its community tariffs.

1.Prerequisites

You are an ASTAG member and have your membership number to hand. If you are not an ASTAG member, click Not an ASTAG Charge member? under Next in the registration form, and you will be redirected to the regular Depotcharge registration.

2.Step by step

  1. 1.
  2. 2.
Create your user account by filling in the fields, then click Next.
  3. 3.
Then confirm your email address with the 6-digit confirmation code we send you by email.

To do so, enter the code in the six fields under Confirm email and click Confirm email.

If no code arrives, simply request a new one with Resend code.

If you want to correct your details, Back to registration takes you back to the form.

  4. 4.
Under Your workspace, choose whether you want to Create a new organisation or Join an existing organisation, and click Next.

The organisation stands for your company on the platform.

If you join an existing organisation, you confirm this with the invitation code from your invitation email.

  5. 5.
Under Create company, enter the details of your organisation and your first company.

The organisation is your company's profile on the platform. An organisation can contain several companies, that is, legally independent firms (legal entities), each of which invoices and pays.

This helps, for example, companies with subsidiaries or subcontractors to manage everything under one roof. The Create company step refers to the company that the platform creates for you automatically.

The following details are required: Organisation name, Legal company name, Street, House number, Postcode, City, Country, VAT ID number and Billing email. If another address should receive invoices, add it with Add additional billing email.

  6. 6.
In the same form, enter your membership number in the ASTAG Charge membership number field.

This verifies your company as an ASTAG member and unlocks access to the ASTAG Charge community.

  7. 7.
Further down, tick both checkboxes to confirm that you are authorised to make legally binding declarations and that you accept the platform agreement and the schedule of prices and services.

    Finally, click Complete.

  8. 8.
Now you can start setting up.

You find everything about creating the fleet under Getting started for fleets, and as a depot operator, Getting started for depot operators helps you.

3.Result

Your company is registered as an ASTAG member and you have access to the ASTAG Charge community. This also lets you see agreement offers that depot operators publish specifically for Community fleets, with special prices for the community, the community tariffs.

You do not need new hardware for this, because your existing RFID cards, charging stations and backend simply keep working.

4.Note

If you want to create a site in a different country from the one your company is registered in, you need a separate company in that country. The VAT ID number of the country where the site or sites are located is always the one entered.

You create further companies in your organisation later, as described in Adjust the organisation structure. Since you cannot change a company's country yourself after creating it, it is worth choosing the right one straight away.

The following diagram shows how the organisation and companies are related.

The organisation you create during this first registration is at the top level, with any number of companies below it. Each company has its own fleets and sites, which always belong to exactly one company.

5.Membership number is not accepted

If your membership number is not accepted or registration with it does not work, please write to us at support@depotcharge.com. We will look into it for you and help you further.

This mainly happens with new ASTAG members whose membership number is not yet on our records.
